road

Hi

I want to change this setting, and manual does not give me any CLISH possibility.

I could do it in elevate mode, but think it should be possible in CLISH.

anyone?

Appliance firmware version?

Not sure, this is for BIOS: SE5C600.86B.02.06.0005.080320162159

If this is not what you asked, please tell me where to find it.

When we talk about Appliance "firmware" version we are refering to the version of the "kit" from Veritas.  This is usually something like (recently) v2.7.3 or v3.1 or v3.1.1 or v3.2.

The intention of the concept of an Appliance firmware version (as opposed to referrring to the version of NetBackup Server embedded inside the Appliance)... is... this... to abstract the combination of a specific version of RedHat (of which you/we/I should never need to be concerned about what that version of RedHat is)... PLUS... a version of NetBackup Server.

So, "a version of Appliance firmware" = "a version of RedHat" PLUS "a version of NetBackup Server"

...so, the meanings are:

Appliance v2.7.3 means a version of Redhat plus NetBackup Server v7.7.3

Appliance v3.1 means a version of Redhat plus NetBackup Server v8.1

Appliance v3.1.1 means a version of Redhat plus NetBackup Server v8.1.1

Appliance v3.2 means a version of Redhat plus NetBackup Server v8.2

.

The reason Veritas do this is so that they/you/we/I avoid complications on conversation.  If I raise a support case and refer to Appliance version v3.2 then Veritas immediately know that this in turn implies NetBackup Server v8.2.

HTH.

Aha, version is 3.1.2

All of the documenattion for all recent appliance versions is here:

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100040113

.

But I think you need to look here for your question:

Veritas NetBackup™ Appliance Commands Reference Guide

https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/doc/42904037-132418758-0/v59679590-132418758

i.e. here in the CLIsh:

Main > Settings > NetBackup — Configure and adjust NetBackup settings.

i.e. no need to elevate.
