MS Exchange 2010 DAG backup is getting failed with error 196

Hi.

All my MS Exchange 2010 bakcup Jobs are getting failed with the Error Code 196.

I'm using a Symantec Appliance 5230 with MSDP.

When jobs are started manually, all jobs works successfully. However, when start automatically, all backups are getting failed with error 196, even if I try to run one at a time automatically.

Resources Configuration

Max jobs per client = 4

 

I need help.

What's your schedule window look like?  Is the window set too short?  The fact it works when run manually says to me that it may be you have a window that is only 15 minutes or less, so it's a small error in the way the schedule is setup.

We really need to see policy config.

Please show us output of:
bppllist <policy-name> -U

Please also check if system time on master and appliance are more or less the same. 
(A couple of minutes won't be a problem.)

Hi Marianne. I recently installed and configured the OpsCenter and, thereafter, all MS Exchange jobs failed. This weekend I pulled out the Master Server from OpsCenter and registered it again. That solved the problem.
