Monitoring for Netbackup Appliance ethernet port link down

I have been trying to configure monitoring for Appliance ethernet ports for link down, PCI error. But i could not find any monitoring capability from SMTP and SNMP trap nor Opscenter. Is there any way we can monitor and alert for Appliance ethernet ports.? Any help would be appreciated.

Our network team alerts on the switch port dropping the connection for us.
