NBU appliance 5230 got 3 partitions

Need help on the appliance paritioning .

I have managed to configure the box as netbackup master server via the IE gui .

when i do a check on the disk partition , i found that the 4 TB storage has been divided to below.

MSDP - 2.4 TB , ADv Disk - 1 Tb and catalog - 800GB

May i know how can i release the Adv disk space and catalog to the MSDP?

You can resize it

From PUTTY login with admin

manage->storage->show

storage->resize AdvancedDisk 500 GB or 200 GB (whichever value you want)

after shrinking remaining volume should move to unallocated space, you can verify it using storage->show command

Perform same for catalog

storage->resize Catalog 300 GB (set catalog size wisely, depending upon your environment as it will grow based on number of jobs, retentions etc.

Now verify space you have available under unallocated that can be used for MSDP expansion

storage->show

storage->resize MSDP 3.5 TB
