Hey Sanjay,

I tried to apply this to a 5230 we just upgraded to 3.1.2/8.1.2 and the installation failed due to /boot not having enough free space. Haven't had much time to troubleshoot it, but would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve that and why it occurred.

PS: Installed other critical EEBs without issue, this was the only one that failed.

As mentioned in the Release Notes, accompanying the patch, at least 500 MB of space in /boot partition is required to install the patch. Please check your /boot partition.

The easiest thing to try is probably running the Upgrade Readiness Analyzer - I've had pretty good luck with it clearing out old junk in /boot prior to upgrades lately. Just pretend you're moving to v3.2. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/downloads/update.UPD299209 You can also try the following if desired : rm /boot/initramfs-0-rescue-* rm /boot/vmlinuz-0-rescue-* The analyzer is a more comprehensive (and safer) bet though.
