How should we check the Configuration of the OS installed on Netbackup appliance

or is there any other way of checking the Netbackup version, Installation path

If you log on to the appliance through the IPMI port the version of the appliance code appears at the login screen. If you use an SSH client then from the main menu go to Appliance > Status and the version of the code is there.

Since the appliance is running a locked down version of SLES the NetBackup application is installed in the default location for that distro: /usr/openv/netbackup

Depending on the version of appliance code the SLES version would be either 10 SP4 (2.5) or 11 sp1 (2.6).
