Netbackup Appliance, backup on NFS share

Hello All,

We have got Netbackup Appliance 5240. Could anyone confirm that the following configuration is supported by Veritas:
1. We would like to configure NFS export on the external Storage system.
2. Then we want to mount the NFS share on the Netbackup Appliance (say under /mnt/NFS)
3. Then create Basic disk storage unit, using /mnt/NFS as the underlying path.
4. Configure Backups to run on the disk storage unit created above.

Hi @Tomaszz 

No it is not supported. Veritas doesn't support 3rd party storage on the appliance for writing, nor are basic disk units supported on the appliance.

And before you ask yes it would work.
