Problem
MSDP Pool using more space than expected
Problem 1 isolated : Orphaned Image Fragments , need solution
Background
Netbackup Appliance Currently on 2.7.1
Environment used to have major problems with AIR replication , cause was firewall on traffic route dropping packets
Environment had at least 1 instance of unplanned shutdown a long time back
I did a import on the pools and getting orphaned image fragment alerts in the detail of the job

Any ideas on how to clean these up on the appliance ?

I think that you may need to open a support case to acquire a tool/utility which will remove these.

Hi,
SDO is right. We had the same problem - netbackup version 7.5. This should be solved now but not for existing orphand images. Thew scripts are running on master and appliance. As result you get an script for deleting this image fragments.

Hello,
You can try running "nbdelete -allvolumes -force" from master.
"nbdelete" will only delete fragments from disk if they are in the deletefed fragments table in the NBDB.
If this a reoccuring issue in your environment, please create a support case.
