The user does not have RBAC permissions for NetBackup

Hello Netbackup gurus,

please, could you advice me how to add RBAC permission for the user in Netbackup Appliance 9.1.0.1? Unfortunately, I am not able to log into  Web UI because access was lost after the upgrade from Netbackup 8.2 to 9.1.0.1 Moreover, I tried to use migration script (https://sort.veritas.com/public/netbackup/rbac/rbac_user_migration.pl) even in elevated mode under the admin account, but the access was denied as well. Is there any way how to add RBAC role via CLI? Additionaly, I used the command bpnbaz -AddRBACPrincipal -User myuser, but the there was an error saying, that the script was unproperly used or it contains invalid data.

Any idea will be much appreciated!

  • Login with nbasecadmin account ( use default P@ssw0rd if not changed)on the webui and add the required users/group

Hi @Azhar4 , thank you so much for your reply. I can confirm, that it is a right solution. The user nbasecadmin with default admin password is able to log into Web GUI.
