"clean up work in post-upgrade"

Hi there,

I've got a netbackup appliance 5230 software version 2.6.1.1. I wanted to migrate it to 2.6.1.2 but I realized there is a "clean up work in post-upgrade" since I updated it time ago and I can't download the new version. I tried to cancel it using putty from Manage>Software but I'm not able to find out how to do that.

How can I stop it? Is there any risk?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok,

talking with support I was able to upgrade it following this article:

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000022048

It's related to older version but works in the same way.

Summarizing:

- I deleted /inst/patch/appliance/upgrading/state.info and /inst/patch/appliance/upgrading/patchinst.lock

- After this, I had to disable all my tasks

- Ran upgrade (it was done)

- Enable policies.

Many thanks for all your comments!

Regards.

You can download the patch independently from fileconnect, copy it to appliance and then run the upgrade. Before you do that, can you let me know what it returns if you run manage->software->upgradestatus.

Also can you provide the scnreenshot of the error you get

Hiya,

Sorry for delay.

I downloaded it manually and launch the upgrade but it's aborted because there is an upgrade process running... the only work is "clean up work in post-upgrade" since I upgraded it to 2.6.1 months ago.

Probably best to open an official support case.
