I have a esx 4.0 runnning on the vmworkstation 7.0. When I created a new vm and moutned the puredisk ISO it says that it is 32 bit and needs to be 64 bit while running the setup. My host machine is 64 bit running on I5 450 processor. The puredisk iso is 64 bit iso.

Hi Sazz

I havent tried to install Puredisk inside a VM using the ISO before but what I have successfully done is use the Puredisk Appliance designed to work with ESX. Its free to download and uses the same licenses.

Its version 6.6.0.2 so you can install that and then patch up to a newer level.

Hi Sazz,

I was facing similar issue on my test kit, when I enabled the VT technology option in the BIOS, I was able to install PureDisk.

Hope this helps !!!
