PDDO Data Removal does not run

Hi,

Setup : NBU 7.0.1 sending PDDO backups to PureDisk 6.6.1.2

Problem that we are facing on the PureDisk server is that the PDDO Data Removal policy runs, but it stays at 0% and does not clean any data.

Any suggestions?

Can you see any disk/IO or CPU load when it starts:

# iostat -x
# top?

Please verify if below patches are applied on both sides:

For Netbackup 7.0.1:

1] HotFix: NB_7.0.1_ET2233961 version 8 is a NetBackup 7.0.1 Hotfix for NetBackup Deduplication servers

For PureDisk 6.6.1.2:

1] Check the applied patches using # ls -ltr /opt/pdinstall/applied ,  it should list:

      a]  EEB20-rollup2

      b]  EEB33-pdrai_cause_inconsistency

   if not, "a" can be downloaded using: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH162680

   for "b", you need to open a support case for the EEB.

Hi Sachin!

Is EEB33 officially published? It helped at one case and I am seriously considering its full deployment on all larger PDRoE sites. EEB40 is a "must have" as well.

Perhaps a tech-note with change notes? 6.6.3a did not prove to be better at once, so it is on hold.

EEB20 is quite ok, although still not perfect.
