Has anyone got error like this when trying to run Data Mainin Policy?

We also have problem to remove one template from one client.
When we try to delete it, we get error message:

Data Management -->
Moukari -->
V-Gen on moukari -->
Delete data selection -->
"You are not authorized to delete this dataselection"

Client is made as an root, and we try to deltele it as an root, funny.

It's nice to see PureDisk posts.
Unfortunately I have not had a chance to play with it yet Smiley Sad

But, just from my general knowledge I picked up on this in your post.
Authentication for user '%s' failed

Don't take for granted that root on a specific machine is all powerful. For instance in an NFS mount root may become "nobody". So my very limited response is to know who you are wherever you may be in the process. I know that is a very basic axiom of Socrates, "Know thyself" but it also applies today.

Hello Bob !!

I know the holes using root, but this time I mean, it´s same user id. And suddenly, we have
some problems. I´m curious to know if we have to fix database. That´s not what I like at all.

Just good to know about PureDisk to everybody...

It doesn´t support SAS-disks ;) So, first time we try to install it, we got funny faces. Image didn´t
installed to local disk. So, we put it strait to EVA8000 disk storage. Booting from there.

Second thing is disk performance. If You have lot of clients (>200pcs) You need disk performance.
I mean, You need it. We have 2TB LUN, over 16 IDE (FATA as they say nowadays) disk, without
any other load. And it is sssloooow. Every click takes from 15s to 2min to get reply. Prosessor
power it´s not an issue. All time less than 17%. Memory... 4GB is just enough, caching 1.8GB
by Linux. But disk performance is hart of this product.

So, if You have possibility to install it over 73GB 15k FC-disks, do it. And You are able to reach
limits of this product. We have to convert it too.

Hi Pete,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue.  If this problem still persists, please call NetBackup technical support and open a ticket, and they will be happy to assist.

Thanks,

Paul
