Status Code 84 - purdisk backup

I have observed that my clients ( Randomly)  backup to the puredisk disk pool storage unit will failed with status code 84.

 

Example . Monday failed on client A and Tuesday failed on Client B intermittent .

Anyone can advise me .

Hi

Can you give us more info? I take it you are using Netbackup to backup the data to a Puredisk PDDO ? If so what version of NBU/PD are you using?

Have you got any logs?

Are you getting BPTM errors? If so have you enabled BPTM logs?

Netbackup 7.01 Master/media x 1

Puredisk server 6.6.0.1

Backup of Vmware machines using vstorage Via PDDO to the puredisk storage unit then to Tape drive using SLP policy.

bptm log folder has been created .Need to obtain bptm log.

If you have Netbackup 7.01 , couldnt you create a Puredisk Diskpool on one of the media servers and backup the ESX vmdk files directly rather then passing it to the Puredisk Server?
