NSS supports AIR for Backup purposes. NSS restores VMs back to the original vCenter. Restore to an alternative vcenter associated with the domain where the images have been AIRed to, is not supported. The backup image metadata include information about the original vcenter, ESXi host and data storage. For the AIR restore to work, values for the mentioned properties need to be provided and typically the consumer of a BaaS service, is not a position to provide this sort of information
