How to properly restore nssdb and nssadapterdb

Greetings!

I would like to now the correct step-by-step procedure to restore nssdb and nssadapterdb for minimum downtime of the whole self service portal

If for example I backed up 2 of these db's and want to restore, should I do the restore on real databases (replacing them) or maybe I should restore these 2 in the exact instance with different names and somehow attach these db's to the working webserver or there is some other ways to do it?

Hi Alexander,

Restoring  the database can be done in either method, though an overwrite requires the least effort. If you restore to a new name, you'll need to re-run the installation to point at the new database (or edit the multitude config files manually (We recommend doing the former)).

Regards,

Tracey
