The next version of NSS 8.3 has been tested to ensure it supports TLS* and TDE** . No changes were needed to achieve this, so NSS 8.2 would be expected to work with these as well.
*TDE - Transparent Data Encryption e.g. SQL DB encryption
**TLS - Transport Layer Security e.g. SSL
