NSS & NBU Client Encryption

Does NSS have any limitation with the NBU Client Encryption Option(s) and where the keyfile is generated locally on the client server. If you have any information or workflow to share, it would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to understand how a customer can restore from the portal an encrypted machine for example.

When you use client side encryption and you try to restore a file back to its source, NBU uses the key file to decrypt the backup and do the restore, therefore NSS is not involved with the actual restore process other than initiating it via communication to the Master server.
