Which rights are necessary to connect from NSS to the MS-SQL DB?

We ran the SQL server on a separate VM but which rights are necessary to connect from NSS to the MS-SQL DB?

The NSS installation requires a SQL Server admin account (like sa), it then creates local accounts that are used by NSS. SQL Server must be set to mixed security mode. Normal SQL server ports are used but a different one can be specified during installation if required.
