Why does NSS show dates in US format?

All dates show in Self-Service Portal in US date format. MM/dd/yyyy.
We need this in AUS or UK format. Tried changing NBU Windows OS, LC.conf, Self Service Windows OS and IIS with no luck in any combination.
Found an older NSS doc saying only US is available but don't know if this is still valid?

The reason that the dates show up in US format onscreen is because the user's language is by default set to English (US), this automatically sets the date format display to US. To display in say English (UK) you need to change the user's default language.

Out of the box NSS supports the following languages: English (US), French, German, Simplified Chinese and Japanese, and a customer can choose to install Self Service in any one of these languages.
If you have installed in English (US) the you can switch to English (UK). English (UK) is not officially supported, however you can enable it to change the date format (all text strings will mostly remain in English (US) as this language has no unique NSS specific strings entered).

To Enable English (UK) goto Admin->Settings->Currency & Language->Language and enable English (UK)
As a user, you can change your language via clicking on the chevron at the top right of the homepage by your name and selecting My Account->Language, English (UK) will now appear as an option.
As an NSS or Tenant admin, you can also set a user’s default language via Admin->Organization->User and select the user and update their preferred language.

IMPORTANT: The setting for Location (which relate to the Master Servers NSS communicates with) for ‘NetBackup DateFormat’ and ‘NetBackup DateTime Format’ specifies the format the master server expects dates to be supplied in. This has no impact on displayed dates in the portal.
