catalog.

Do these actually relate to the images you've done a Phase I import on? (Binlog_MySQL_1305715558_INCR)

There are various T/N's that deal with clearing bad image headers (see below) - you may have to start the import afresh, not sure.

DOCUMENTATION: How to manually identify and remove zero-byte or corrupt image header files which are preventing empty tapes from being returned to scratch and are preventing the "bpexpdate -deassignempty" command from completing successfully.
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH60787

bpimmedia and bpcatlist command failed with error: file read failed (13)
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH73003

Catalog searches in the console fail with error message: INF - unexpected return value from db_IMAGEreceive: file read failed 13
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH77510

The last one actually states that these errors could be due (whilst searching the catalog) to backups that have undergone Phase I but not Phase II imports - a liitle ironic!

1>First, I have removed /tmp folder from affected path where bad image was there then executed  this command: bpdbm -consistency -move to remove "bad image headers " .

2>Not getting any error messages while firing below commands.

[root@uidbkp001 admincmd]# bpexpdate -deassignempty
Search for empty media that meet the following criteria:
        Media id: All

Continue? y/n (n)y
No media matching criteria were found to be deassigned.
no entity was found
[root@uidbkp001 admincmd]# nslookup

3>Not getting any zero size files too.

root@uidbkp001 /]# find /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images -name '*_FULL' -size 0
[root@uidbkp001 /]# find /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images -name '*_INCR' -size 0
[root@uidbkp001 /]# find /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images -name '*_UBAK' -size 0
[root@uidbkp001 /]# find /usr/openv/netbackup/db/images -name '*_UARC' -size 0

I have started again Phase 1 import on all 10 tapes.

Please ensure that you complete phase 2 import before the phase 1 image expires. The imported image will have the same retention level as the original image.

You can create the NOEXPIRE touch file to prevent expiration until all imports have completed (see  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH136153     )

PLEASE remember to remove it again once imports and restores are done. Leaving the file will prevent ALL expiration.

Have you configured any encription for this backup ?

Hi Marianne,

As you said "Please ensure that you complete phase 2 import before the phase 1 image expires."

If that happened, is this message prompt? "INF - Status = No images found or media matching the selection criteria."

Thanks and Regards!
