5.1 to 6.5 upgrade: 300Gb compressed catalog question

Hello,

We are planning on uprading our 5.1 environment to 6.5 and I have a question:

How does upgrade process deal with compressed catalog? Does it expand all compressed catalog files or not?

Our 5.1 catalog is pretty big, ~300Gb, we do have 7 year retention on many policies.  So a  lot of catalog images are compessed.

If upgrade process does in fact expand all comressed images - we'd need to get like a terrabyte of disk space and I'm afraid that upgrade process will take forver.

Please advise.

NetBackup does not alter images/filelists during the migration, so it will not touch your compressed data, don't worry and carry on :)
