AIR replication from 7.5 MSDP to 7.6 MSDP

Hi ,

Source MSDP : 7.5.0.5

Target MSDP : 7.6.0.3

I replicated backup images using nbreplicate command to target MSDP and its went successful (both replication/Import JOB).

Having a doubt will restore works with 7.6.0.3 master server at target ?

We are planning to upgrade this 7.5.0.5 media server to 7.6 in coming weeks, will this cause any issues to the current SLP if any backlogs?

Hello,

there is a general rule that images created by older NetBackup version are restorable with newer NetBackup versions. Regardless of AIR.

With AIR, you can repliace from older NBU version to a newer one, or vice versa.

As for backlog, even if generally no issues here, I recommend to clear it before upgrade.
