AIX soft links not seen in BAR GUI

I believe I've read that I should be seeing AIX soft links in the BAR GUI - but that does not appear to be the case for me.

Here is part of a directory:

/oracle/PTP> ls -l m*
-rw------- 1 oraptp dba 2140 Apr 16 2015 mbox
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogA -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogA
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogB -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogB
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogC -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogC
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogD -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlog

In the GUI I only see this: (see attached file).

Why dont I see the mirrlog* files?

Are you sure you're looking at the correct dir?

You can tell from the icon in your screenshot, dbs is a link file (with size 0).

I double-check this in my environment as well.

And check if you have exclude list that could exclude the mirrlog*

Those links are not making any sense. They are linked to the same name in the same folder?
I am pretty sure level 1 or higher bpbkar log will show that these links are skipped because of this.

The names are similar but not the same.  (oralog vs oracle)

/oracle/PTP> ls -ld mirr*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogA -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogA
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogB -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogB
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogC -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogC
lrwxrwxrwx 1 oraptp dba 20 Nov 27 2014 mirrlogD -> /oralog/PTP/mirrlogD

Apologies! I missed the top directory.

I would still want to see bpbkar log for the backup to see how files are enumerated and backed up.

I will see if the user wants me to pursue this.

Well - this is embarassing.  It is in the exclude list.

In the words of Emily Litella -  "Never mind."
