Accelerator appears to be causing very low throughput on differential incrementals

Hello,

We have just recently upgraded to Netbackup 7.6.0.2 on Redhat Linux, and migrated over all of our policies. We are just taking advantage of accelerator for the first time; however, there are some client's causing issues.

The main client I am concered with is our Document Share server, it is running Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit.

I have run a full backup with accelerator enabled, and the throughput is close to 100MB/s without contention. The full backup took about 6 hours to complete. I am now running a Differential Incremental backup and seeing throughput of 29 KB/s, and it still is not running in contention with other backups. If I run a differential with accelerator disabled, the throuput jumps back up.

The detailed status of the Differential Incremental backup is showing:

12/15/2014 07:44:30 - Info bpbkar (pid=4848) not using change journal data for <D:\UserHome>: not configured for use
12/15/2014 07:44:30 - Info bpbkar (pid=4848) not using change journal data for enumeration for <D:\UserHome> but will use it for change detection

Is it correct in saying the change journal is not confiured for use?

If anybody has any ideas, or suggestions, as to what may be going on that would be highly appreciated. If I can provide any more information please let me know!

Thank you.

Hello Ram,

Thank you for your reply.

The rate of change during the week is fairly high, with dedupe savings between 60-70%. However, I was testing the throughput issue on the weekend, when little to no change is happning on the document share at our company.

The Destination storage is the Dell R720 running Netbackup Server  7.6.0.2 and RedHat linux 6.5
