Check all comms in all directions: master to media and media to master.
Clear host cache on BOTH first. So, do following on BOTH:
bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache
bpclntcmd -hn <remote-host-name>
bpclntcmd -ip <remote-host-IP>
Ensure -ip resolves SAME hostname used with -hn and that this is the name used in SERVER entries on both servers.
On W2008 server, either disable UAC completely or do everything with right-click, Run as Administrator.

Don't expose your system FQDN on forum. Mask them.
Could you verify the below registry values are correct
HKLM/Softwares/vertias/netBackup/CurrentVesion/Config/
What is specified in Servers registry
Is your master server or your Media Server
If media server then change it back to Master server name
technote speaks about opensource (bp.conf) with Windows we have registry to look at.

bpclntcmd with hn and ip resolve same name on both master and media server.
UAC is already disabled.
All Communication port are already allowed from firewall.
Registry entry on Master Server
Servers: my master server name
on Media Servers
Servers: master & media both
