Any known issues when Netbackup is use on BEA WebLogic on Windows platform

     Currently, we just installed NetBackup agent onto the Windows servers that installed with BEA WebLogic. These are are configured as clustering for BEA WebLogic. However, after NetBackup agent installed and especially when the backup activated the clustering of BEA WebLogic fails.

     As a result, we will like to know whether there is any known issue when NetBackup installed on BEA WebLogic servers especially running on Windows Server 2003?

What version of NetBackup are you running on the Master and Client?

As far as my memory serves me, NBU has never been able to backup BEA WebLogic as a cluster aware application.

If the backup selection is just a normal folder, you will need to take into consideration how BEA WebLogic manages it's files.

You might also want to check with the Software Vendor for information of how to backup Cluster Aware BEA WebLogic. They may have specific needs you need to implement.

The version of Netbackup we are running on the Master and Client is v6.5 and the version of  BEA WebLogic is version6.1.

How are you performing your backups?  NetBackup shouldn't be interferring with the BEA WebLogic, if you are using Microsoft Clustering, might want to looking at checking application and system event logs for what is failing.

Do you know if PBX is in the same group as your BEA WebLogic, if so this may be the cause.
