Hi Team,

In one of the client, Application team triggered some archive backups. But, the backup happen without delete, the error code is 3.  It was running fine. but recently on same volumes, we unabl to take backup archives. Normal backups ( standard) are running fine.

Master and Media servers are NBU 6.5.6 and OS 5.10

client: OS 5.10 NBU 6.5.5

Even I couldn't fine any errors in bparchvie logs.  I suspect this is with permission issue. but there is no from my side to show them ( application team).

Is there any way to find where is problem..

Thanks for your help

This issue has been seen when the nblog.conf file on the client was missing or corrupt.

The nblog.conf file resides in the following location:
/usr/openv/NetBackup/nblog.conf

Examine the progress log or status of the archive on the client to determine if you need to retry the archive after correcting the problem. If the problem is not serious and the files were backed up, you can manually delete the files. To verify which files were backed up, use the NetBackup client-user interface in restore mode and browse the files in the archive.

A possible cause for files not being deleted is that you do not have the necessary permissions

Please ensure that you have '-L <logfile>' as part of bparchive command as well as bpbkar log on client.

Please post these logs as attachments.
