Are excludelists stored on the Master server in version 6.5?

I found out (via this forum) that I can use the command bpgetconfig to get excludelist information for my windows clients. I'd like to know if this command is getting the information from the NB database (ie., the filelist info is in a file in the openv/netbackup/db/class sugdirectory), or is it dynamically querying the client for that information when you run it?

Thank you

It is dynamically querying the client.
Exclude lists are part of the NetBackup registry entries on the client.

Key Name: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config
Value 4
Name: Exclude
Type: REG_MULTI_SZ
Data: C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\*.lock
C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\bprd.d\*.lock
C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\bpsched.d\*.lock
C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackupDB\data\*
C:\Program Files\Veritas\Volmgr\misc\*

It amazes me sometimes how such a simple posting can garner 8 votes and only 4 points :)

Not sure how to interpret your reply.

I am new to this forum, and had some issues with the whole thumbs up/down/votes.

I am used to HP ITRC where you assign points (1-9) based on whether the reply answered your question.

I tried ot give credit where it was due. If I made a faux pas, sorry...but life goes on :)
