Atteched Robot with Media server or master server

Hi ;)

i have machine virtuelle VMware Vcenter6.1 who the netbackup was installed and i have Robot HP MSL 2024 LTO5 tape.

My question is how to attache my ROBOT to media server or master server ?

This my infrastructure

- Serveur HP de type Proliant DL 380 G8 et  Proliant DL 380 G7 et G6 (10 serveurs physique).

- Baie de disque HP 3PAR 7200 (connecté au serveurs Via des switch SAN)

- VMware Vcenter6.1  pour l'administration (plateforme ESXI 6.0 sur l'ensemble des serveur).

- Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 Server comme système d’exploitation sur les Vms.

- Sql Server 2008/2012/2014 comme SGBD.

- Robot de sauvegarde MSL 2024 avec cartouche LTO5 de 3To.

You can't use a virtual guests and have SCSI/FC robot/tape drives attached to it. Its not supported.

You need a physical media server to be the robot control host and Media Manager (tape) media server.

I will add that this is a limitation of Vmware, not NetBackup.
