Automating monthly restores?

Folks,

Am running NBU 7.6 and need to complete monthly restore test on tapes to verify the integrity of the tapes. 

Is there a way of automating this?

Not directly in Netbackup, but it can be done with scripting of the relevant netbackup commands

For filesystem backups, you can use bprestore in scripts. For Database restores, the process is different and need to be started from destination client using db scripts.

You can also use bpverify to check what is on the media matches what is in the catalog. No need for a restore client, storage space, etc.
