Dear Friends'

I have some question about BMR restore please help me .

I have a Master Server on windows 2008 R2 (64 bit ) also BMR master server ,with 7.6.0.4 netbackup version ,

Media server (Also BMR boot server) is Red hat Linux 6 with netbackup 7.5.0.5 (64 bit) , and client is Red hat linux 4 32 bit with 6.5.6 netbackup version . this

now i have requirment to restore  from this netbackup BMR client to VM machine ,

is it possible to do this type of restore .

Properly not. But its difficult to say because you got 3 version involved.

According to the compatibility matrix only 64 bit Red Hat 4 is BMR supported

But you may give it a try, else perform normal file system restore of data into VM.

Hi Nicolai,

Getting below error while creating SRT , it is saying that supported versions are 5 and 6 and my client is 4.

 

Enter the path of first CD/DVD of desired RedHat/Oracle Enterprise Linux Server operating system level . The supported versions are (5 , 6)
