What is the OS level of the BMR boot server where you are creating the SRT?

Please show us output of :
cat /etc/redhat-release

OS level of boot server : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5,boot image is creating on same server.

As per compatability list,

Red Hat 5 (x64) is compatable with Netbackup 7.0.

Then Redhat 5.5 also supported NB 7.0?

Probably best to log a Support call as the SCL is not clear on this. (unless Mandar or Jamie can help us out.)

At the top of the page it says:

NetBackup is supported on all editions (Advanced, Base, DC, etc.) and on all vendor GA updates (n.1, n.2, etc.) or service packs (SP1, SP2, etc.) unless stated otherwise in the tables below.

The only 'otherwise' version that that is explicitly mentioned is version 5.8 in the footnote:

5. BMR Client/Boot Server support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 begins with NetBackup 7.0. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 8 requires NetBackup 7.5.0.5 or later.

Upfront I dont exactly remember but I believe this issue has been fixed in 7.1.X NB release.

Thanks.
