Backing Up VM with Pass-Through Disk

rossxu
Level 4

I need to back virtual machines (VMs) from Hyper-V hosts with NetBackup client installed.

Some of the VMs have direct connection to external storage over iSCSI (pass-through). I'd like to know if there are any issues.

Thanks,

Ross

There should be no problems using a agtens based backup method.

Background info:

You can't use hypervisor based backups for VM with direct connection to storage sidestepping the hypervisor. Bascially the hypervisor don't know the connection, and as a result can't protect it.
