We are currently in process of migrating from IMB Lotus Notes to MS Exchange 2010. I am currently working with a team to design MailBox Backup solution. We are trying to find out what other large companies currently use to backup Exchange 2010 - MS Exchange 2010 have built-in backup/recovery solution well as NetBackup Agent is also available. What are the Pros and Cons using NetBackup Agent virses Built-In Exchange backup and recovery.

Hi,
From the Symantec website..
So you might have read this and think, well MS Backup (think its called DPM) can do all of that, so why NetBackup.
You shouldn't look at NetBackup as a point solution (to protect on app/product/server). NetBackup is a comprehensive data protection that provides heterogeneous protections for a variety of operating systems (Windows, Linux, and UNIX), applications (MS Exchange, SharePoint, SAP ) and databases (SQL, Oracle) etc.
In addition to that you've got features like BMR (Bare Metal Recovery), Backup to tape, Backup to Disk, Deduplication, Storage Life Cycle policies, protection for HyperV, Protection for VMware, Vault (offsite tape management and duplication).
See the link for more information on all the options, features, and benefits.
