Backing up WIN cluster server

Hi,

I have a query on backing up windows clustered servers. Active node and passive node for both clustered servers are discovered on Netbackup. But when running the backup, it seems the active node has the successful backup and the passive node encounters “1: (71) none of the files in the file list exist”. Is this a normal for windows clustered servers. We have configured 3 clustered servers now on our netbackup and all backup have the same behavior, only the active node has backup successful.

Are there any best practices for backing up win cluster server?

Thanks!

I am curious to know what you mean with "both nodes are discovered". How is NBU discovering machines? Are they VMs? What does the policy config look like? Policy config has been discussed here many times. A quick Google search found quite a bit and the 1st one I opened was this forum post: https://www.veritas.com/community/forums/preferred-method-cluster-backups#comment-9105051 It contains a link to this TN : http://www.veritas.com/docs/000088032 Does it help?
