Hello.
We're running Netbackup 7.0.1 on Windows Server 2008. We back up the catalog to tape and disk, and replicate the disk to a remote site (using proprietary replication on the storage array) for DR purposes. My questions are:
1) Does the catalog contain the backup policies?
2) If so, would they be accessible after a partial catalog recovery at the DR site?

The catalog backup does include all polcies - these are backed up when the netbackup\db\class directory is backed up during the catalog backup
A partial catalog recovery means the images and configuration files which does include the policies
From the help:
The option to recover only the image and the configuration files is useful where the EMM database (and BMR database, if applicable) is valid but the NetBackup policy, backup image, and configuration files are lost or corrupt.
So a partial recovery is everything except the databases (EMM)
Hope his helps
