Backup Success Rate Report

Hi,

In our NetBackup environment around 7000+ backup jobs are running on daily basis.

I would like to create the backup succeess rate and failure rate on daily basis.

Could you please somebody help me to create such kind of reports using NBU commands(bpdbjobs or bperror) or any knid of scripts?

For that many backups I would advise you also take a look at installing the NOM server part of NetBackup suite. It requires no extra license.

You can look into EMC's Backup Advisor.  It provides a lot of out-of-the-box reports for backups, as well as the ability to create custom reports.

Hi,

You can use the following command to have the report you need:

bperror -backstat -hoursago 24 -L

You can use UNIX grep's to filter further to your need.
