Backup failing with Error code 23 on Solaris client NBU version 6.5.6

Hi,

I am facing issue with one of my solaris client which is failing with EC 23....Below error logs from backup job:-

 The NBU version on both master and client are 6.5.6.

Ping,Telnet Bpcd all working well.

Nslookup on both master and client working fine.

Checked  Host file entries,BPCD and Vnetd and both are fine.

Please suggest as backup still failing.

We see problem between bpbrm on media server and bpcd on client:

Error bpbrm (pid=26423) bpcd on USP001-ebr.wnsnet.attws.com exited with status 23: socket read failed

Rather use bptestbpcd to test lookup, connectivity as well as connect-back from client.

Please create bpcd log folder on client (under /usr/openv/netbackup/logs).

Next, run the following from media server:
bptestbpcd -client USP001-ebr.wnsnet.attws.com -verbose -debug

Please post output of bptestbpcd command as well as client's bpcd log.

I also checked /etc/hosts on both master and media but on media client entry is missing. Please suggest.

Client cannot resolve media server's IP address to a hostname.
Please add /etc/hosts entry for media server.
Ensure that hostname in hosts file have valid SERVER entry in bp.conf.
