Stream discovery is failing.
What is defined in Backup Selection?
If ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES, the Master server needs to connect to the client for stream discovery, not the media server,
So, please check connectivity between Master and Cliient.

Your policy name (Unix-DMZ-FS) indicates that client is behind a firewall, right?
NBU 7.1 will firstly try to connect to client on pbx port (1556), if that fails, it will try vnetd (13724).
We can see in bpcd log that media server usnbub9500 is connecting successfully to client on port 1556.
Maybe backup is attempted via another media server?
Please show us all text in Details tab of the failed job.
PS: I don't understand the relevance of bpcoverage?

Hello Marianne.
Thanks for Reply..
No , backup is going through only media server(usnbub9500).

Hello Marianne.
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES is selected in backup selection..
Ping is working from master server to client but telnet to 13782,13724 and 1556 is not working.
FYI,
[80101937@usnbub5500 sbin]$ telnet usnbum9001 13782
Trying 171.74.194.150...
[80101937@usnbub5500 sbin]$ telnet usnbum9001 13724
Trying 171.74.194.150...
[80101937@usnbub5500 sbin]$ telnet usnbum9001 1556
Trying 171.74.194.150...
But when i spoke to unix team then he said that this is a DMZ server and ping and telnet is only work through media server(i.e usnbub9500) but not from master server (usnbub5500)
even I am not able to understand this funda..which is told by Unix guy
Can we change th backup selection list so that it will not discover the stream or it will work through only media server..

Hello Marianne..
Thanks much for yourtimely help to resolve this issue..
I selected (/) in backup selection and after that backup completed successfully...
Thanks once again Marianne..

Thanks Marianne..

Please be careful when specifying / in backup selection!
If 'cross mountpoints' is not selected, only root filesystem will be backed up.
I you need multiple data streams, specify each filesystem/mount point in the Backup Selection, e.g.
/
/var

Hello Marianne.
I sent a mail to platform team regarding mount points.. (means which mounbt points they want in backup selection..)
