Is it disk? Basic, Advanced or Dedupe? 
Is it tape?
What is the error in Job Details?

If you look at the Troubleshooter function in Activity Monitor or in the Status Code manual, you will see that there are lots of possible causes.
First step is look at all text in Job Details, and then decide where to look next.

Follwoing on from Mariannes comments, the sort of information that is required to understand an issue, in order to be able to help ...

Status code
Example of error message (in this case, bptm log at verbose 5 would be a good starting point)
Activity monitor details
Does the backup always fail
Do other backups fail, or just this one
If it fails multiple times, is it failing at the beginning, some part midway through , or the end - or random different places
What is the history, have you had other recent issues, or have any changes been made

Changes include:
OS upgrades
OS patches
Firmware upgrades
Hardware replacements
Settings changes within NetBackup
NetBackup EEBs
Settings changes with OS
Network changes or hardware / firmware tasks
System hardware refresh / migrations
In fact, every tiny detail you can think of - hey, I even want to know what you had for lunch ...

My digest email had the job details in it, not sure why the post doesn't, and I bolded two lines where I'd start -- the details tell you server is shut down.  Have you examined the state of the StorOnce device?
