Backup fails because of (41) network connection timed out.

Backup fails because of (41) network connection timed out.

Backup for the same client is completing successfully with other policy.

Please help me on this.

Logged in to the server and found the below details,

$ hostname
hpasgmt2
$ cd /usr/openv/netbackup/bin
$ cat version
NetBackup-HP-UX11.00 5.1MP6

From BPCD logs,

Exit Status 45 means, from Netbackup statuscode refguide:

NetBackup status code: 45

Recommended Action: Verify that the latest software is installed on the client
and server.

Check the bpbkar logs to, and for goodness sake, why are you running 5.1? Its been dead for almost 10 years!

Did you see the Recommended Action? "Verify that the latest software is installed on the client and server." Latest NBU version is 7.7.2.

Hi Marianne,

 

If i have to update the netbackup client software, then i have to upgrade the OS version which is not possible as of now.

Backup for the same client is completing successfully with other policy.

We have to find out other way so that this backup starts running.
