What is transport type selected in the policy?

To troubleshoot errors regarding transport type, you need to enable VxMS log on the Backup Host. (See Troubleshooting section in NetBackup for VMware Administrator's Guide

To learn about the different transport types, herewith some reading matter:

Transport modes selected are: 1.nbd 2.hotadd I have seen VxMS logs on the backup host but it is not having logs for all dates. It is containing few files from year 2014 only. Kindly recommend what could be done further.

Check bpfis log as well for snapshot errors.
If you have more than one backup host, check logs on the relevant host.

VxMS log location has changed in NBU 7.6. Ensure it is in the correct place:
<install_path>\NetBackup\logs\vxms

Also check logging level for VxMS - see the VMware Admin Guide.

If you are using hotadd, read through all requirements and limitations in the manual and above links.
