Backup is continously failing with EC:13

Hi All,

Backup is continoulsy failing with EC:13(File read failed).
I have checked the network connectivity and network load on my switch, found Everything is fine..
But unable to trouble shoot this.

but you say you've confirmed all ok.

Are there any other symptoms? Errors logged elsewhere? One client or many? Any other info you could supply that may make identifying the possible issue(s) easier?

Hi jaya,

post some more details like

-what you are backing up (A drive or all_local_drives)
-how long does the backup run before failing
-how much data is transferred before the job fails
and the details of the job from the activity monitor.

Check the bpbkar and bpcd logs to identify when and why the backup failed.

This looks like a NIC issue. I  suggest that you review the settings of the network path used to get from the client to the backup server. Ensure that all ports, cards and switches are set to the same media and
transport type (Example: 100base Full Duplex).

can you look the logs to see what error came up when the backup failed
