Backup of VM with V Vols failing with (40) network connection broken

We have a type 14 Linux VM backup which is now failing with (40) network connection broken, it has 101 Independent disks ( V Vols ) which it skips.

My question is, is there a limit to the number of Independent disks that Netbackup can cope with, 

because this seemed to work before more disk were added ?

What is your vCenter version?
What version of ESX are you running on the hosts?

How many 'disks' were added recently that causes this failure? How many 'disks' did it have when it was running successfully?
