Backup the servers hosted in cloud environment

Hi All,

Some of the servers hosted on the Azure cloud and need to confiure backup to them. Please advise how can we take servers hosted on the cloud?. Will there be any throughput transferrate decrease during the backup ?. What are the prerequisites  to check before configure the backup ?.

Azure uses a "rebranded" version of DPM for backups. If you need more complex backups. I believe there's a Netbackup Appliance you can deploy in the cloud for more complex workloads:

One things to be very carefully about is pulling data out of the cloud - IP traffic out of the cloud has a charge much higher than into the cloud.

There is no problem installing Netbackup in a VM in the cloud. No hypervisor based based backup however ..
