Backups failing with a status code of 196 client backup was not attempted because backup window closed

Not sure how to resolve this issue, backups from different policies failing with a status code of 196. Please advise.

Likely not enough tape drives to back up everything at once. 

How many clients, how much data, how many tape drives & what kind?

433 clients roughly 2/3tbs of data and only 10 drives (IBM.ULTRIUM-TD5)

That's a lot of data and also quite a few drives.  Hopefully they are distributed among several media servers with fast connections to all those clients.  Take a look at OpsCenter Reports (you do have OpsCenter installed, right?  it's a useful tool and basic features are "free")

Reports > Performance Reports > Media Server Job Throughput

Another good canned report:

Backup Reports > Planning Activity Reports > Scheduled Jobs Reports > Job Count within Backup Window

( visual indication of jobs per hour can guide redistribution of backup schedules)
