I guess we do have to level it.
eject the tape from the robot.
then delete the tape from netbackup.
you can try using the same barcode or give it a new one.
then put it back in the robot and update.
If you give it a new one try to do a bplabel on it once it is back in the robot.
What I think you don't know.
your robot as a list of what it has inside. its own little database keeps track of this.
then you have the netbackup database of tapes with what it thinks is in the robot and what is not in the robot.
if you delete a tape from netbackup but do not take the tape out of the robot, and you try to use the same slot or do an update, the netbackup database will want to update itself to what the robot says.
in the same vain, if you take a tape out of your robot by hand, and do not update netbackup then netbackup will think the tape is still in the robot.
so to start, take it out of robot, delte it from netbackup, put tape in with same or new barcode and update and sew what it reads in as.
