According to the documentation, GRT is supported with Basic and Advanved disk.

According to Device Compatibility Guide,
2. It is intended that AdvancedDisk features will work with any mounted file system or NFS. The storage must be seen as local disk by the NetBackup Media Server.
Common file systems available on NetBackup Media Server-supported operating systems are supported. CIFS-connected storage is supported with NetBackup 7.0.1 and later.
4. Connection method of the disk array (parallel SCSI, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, etc) is not a determining factor for support, only that the storage is seen as local disk by the NetBackup Media Server.
