Veritas  Continuous Data Protection/Replication (CDP/R) Beta Test Customer Access Program (CAP)

We are pleased to announce the Veritas CDP/R Beta Test Customer Access Program (CAP). CDP/R is an integrated continuous data protection (CDP) and replication product for the enterprise data center.  The goal of this program is to test the installation, features, user interface, and functionality of CDP/R through customer testing.  It will run from December 3, 2007 –  February, 2008 (subject to change) with onsite assistance from the Technical Product Manager (TPM) team.  Candidates are selected that fit the below selection criteria.  There is limited space in the program due to our onsite support capacity.

Selection Criteria:

The following items will be considered when evaluating a candidate for inclusion into the Veritas CDP/R CAP process: 

  •  Should be current users of Veritas NetBackup or Veritas Storage Foundation (although, not required).  
  •  Should use CDP/R to protect critical applications
    (Example:     Oracle database or Microsoft Exchange) . 
  •  Should be able to test on Solaris or Windows (the initial platforms supported) 
  •  Must be willing to sign a CAP legal document.
  •  Must be able to participate within the proposed timeframe.
  •  Must be willing to engage in discussions of the feasibility and usability of Veritas CDP/R within their environment with Symantec engineering.
  •  Must be located in the continental United States.
  •  Must be willing to facilitate on-site TPM visits .

  • Simplified backup and restore management through Veritas NetBackup integration.
